TiVo Central – Grey's Anatomy – Episode 3-8

Shows

Meredith and Derek are both “bright and shiny” and that annoys me. I liked the “dark and twisty” Meredith. This version is annoying. Meredith wants to take it slow, but that’s hard to do when Derek is in her bathtub with her.

George has a hard time with his dad having cancer. This may change his character just a little bit. We’ll see how it goes, though. The only positive is that maybe he will forget about Callie now. He does need someone. So hopefully it’s Izzie or Meredith.

Addison and Derek want to be civil with each other, but that doesn’t work so well. Working with ex’s is difficult my friends. Addison finally sees that her marriage is over. Derek is happy without her. She throws her ring into the ocean.

And yes I like Bailey’s soft side. She yells at Cristina for the Burke thing, which is great and then finishes it off with a song at the end to her baby.

Alex and Izzie spend time together at the hospital as she shadows him. That means little hints of their past relationship. Alex thinks something is there again and he kisses her out of the blue. Izzie says she can’t do this now, though, and runs off. I can’t blame Alex, but he should know better. They eventually talk things through and this is my lone bright spot in this episode.

Webber and Meredith chat about her mom. Webber finally wants to make his marriage work. That means he can’t see Meredith’s mom anymore professionally. He needs to move on. This show doesn’t do so well with marriages, but good luck to him.

George knows Cristina is hiding Burke’s injury. He wants Burke to operate on his father. Cristina begs off. She can’t tell him the truth since Bailey is stalking her, looking for a mistake to bust her on.

I’m at a weird point with this show. Nothing seems to be working with me. The show is still good, but it’s annoying me more than I’m enjoying it. It’s all about relationships and the ones they tend to focus on are getting annoying. Look no further than Meredith and Derek. I’m a Meredith fan, but this “bright and shiny” stuff is annoying. And despite the fact that Meredith had issues with her mother in this episode and she says she is just “dull and lifeless” now. She is still “bright and shiny”, because Derek is right back in her bathtub at the end of the episode!

I guess I’m more like George right now. I’m a little sad at the state of things on this show right now. The potential is there, but right now it’s just there for me. Oh well. Hopefully it gets better soon.

Sir Linksalot: Television News

I'm not embarrassed to say that my favorite television show of all-time is The O.C. I live by the motto "you can't fight fate!" More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
