Episode 10-10, “Lookin’ Like a Blue-Haired Lady on a Sunday Drive”

Travel
Teams traveled from Helsinki, Finland to Kiev, Ukraine. After the forward rappel, teams were bunched up again. I can understand why the two lead teams were frustrated, but they were smart to book tickets first. It was unfortunate that the other teams found a flight that would land at the same time, so it came down to delays, which did happen to the Warsaw flight.

Roadblock – Tank School
Noone had any problems with this task, so it was rendered irrelevant. It was probably a blast to do, though.

Detour – Make Music or Find Music
Find Music seemed to be the faster task, but the three teams that decided to Make Music apparently have some creative genes, as they didn’t seem to have problems with rhyme and meter.

Miscellaneous
– Whoa, another clue that requires thought. And this one wasn’t a no-brainer, either. Definitely, my initial impulse would be to say “it’s in Russia” before doing a check on the location.

– Rob mentions that they need to be careful with who does the Roadblocks, which I believe is the first in-show mention of the maximum Roadblock rule this season.

– It’s really frustrating that the Chos decided to wait for Lyn and Karlyn. I can understand that they want to keep their friendship, but on the other hand, you know you’re last, an elimination is likely, and THEY LEFT YOU AT THE OLYMPIC TOWER, so you should’ve, you know, RACED.

– However, that wasn’t what hurt you. Had you left before Lyn and Karlyn, you still would’ve fallen behind because you didn’t trust your map and needed to stop every 5 miles or so. Sometimes, you just have to trust your instincts instead of panicking and stopping for directions all the time. And what makes it worse is that they HAD A MAP. Now granted, it probably had Cyrillic symbols, but that’s where you take that handy-dandy pen and get someone to draw on it. Just a thought.

– I still have no idea why Lyn and Karlyn hate Dustin and Kandice. Maybe it’s a girl thing.

That’s all for this week.
