In Hindsight – Survivor Turkey Thursday

Shows

Great little twist last week! Well, not so much for Jenny, but I think that we (and Nate) know where he stands with this tribe. A merge is probably coming, and with uneven numbers, it should be a rather volatile night at Tribal Council.

17. J.P. Calderon (Raro)
16. Stephannie Favor (Raro)

JURY
12. Brad Virata (Raro)

11. Rebecca Borman (Raro) WORST PLAYER [10] – You gave it your all, and it simply wasn’t enough. I’ll be honest though, you were only marginally worse than the rest of Raro.

10. Jenny Guzon-Bae (Raro) [8] – Jenny’s pissed, and understandably so. However I did talk last week about paranoia, and apparently this was justified as both Parvati and Adam turned on her, and given the snap decisions that needed to be made right then, this wasn’t just some random thing. The question is, are you still gonna be pissed when it’s time for the final vote?

Of course, there is a flipside to this, and Michaelangelo mentioned this in the IP Forums. Jenny, Nate, Parvati and Adam all made the call to vote out Rebecca, and Brad before that, so the fact that they turned on you when the opportunity arose should NOT be all that surprising. We’ll see if sequester time allows you to see this.

9. Jonathan Penner (Raro) [11] – You’re once again low man on the rankings because you’re still in danger of getting voted out next, merge or no merge. But at this point, you’ve escaped the real danger votes, and I think that we could see you win $100,000.

8. Sundra Oakley (Aitu) [9] – I’m still not seeing a heck of a lot out of you, but I give you props for giving it your all in the Challenges. But I think you’re low person in the Aitu “alliance”, so you could go home if there’s no merge.

7. Nathan “Nate” Gonzalez (Raro) [5] – Nate was left out in the cold on that second vote, and that means bad things for him if a merge doesn’t come. But Jeff’s assertion that a merge may never come is akin to a GM giving his coach a vote of confidence – it’s not to be believed. Thus, Mr. Gonzalez is in the “coveted” role of swing voter. He’s been left in the dark before on votes (this is, what, the third time?) and he’s recovered from it, so I’m pretty confident that Nate can do the right thing to get him further in the game beyond the next Tribal Council.

6. Oscar “Ozzy” Lusth (Aitu) [7] – You’ve been in constant danger of going home, and that’s not changing with a merge imminent. The best thing for you to do is to run the table on individual immunities.

5. Adam Gentry (Raro) [4] – You’re an idiot. And a strong candidate to be the first voted out in the merged tribe, assuming that Aitu doesn’t go after Jonathan.

4. Candice Woodcock (Raro) [5] – Going to Exile Island twice in a row has got to suck. But like Parvati, you’re sitting in the driver’s seat in your tribe. The men are likely to go before you are.

3. Rebekah “Becky” Lee (Aitu) [N/C] – I got nuthin’ for ya this week.

2. Parvati Shallow (Raro) [1] – Still the queen of the tribe, even if the tribe doesn’t realize it. Will your feminine wiles work on Yul and Ozzy when two become one? We’ll see.

1. Yul Kwon (Aitu) BEST PLAYER [2] – As BobDawg notes, Yul is kinda boring. Still, he gets the job done and is carrying the reality torch for Asian-American men now that the Chos screwed themselves out of The Amazing Race. Go Yul!

That’s all for this week. Come back to Reality Dish at around 3pm for the Crystal Ball’s prediction.
