Richly Deserved: The Amazing Race Episode 10-11

Shows

So we’re just two weeks away from the end of this adventure. Good thing, because this is becoming downright nasty. I’ve run out of teams to cheer for though I still have one to cheer against.

This week, the teams went from Kiev to Morocco, raced chariots and grinded olives. And now three of the teams have a common thread. Let’s run down how they did.

TYLER AND JAMES
They give Dustin and Kandice a lot of credit but clearly don’t like them. They always raced at or near the front. No major driving problems. Had a little snag at the road block and nearly lost the leg by forgetting a lucky charm ornament they were supposed to bring to the pit stop but given who they were running against to that pit stop, there was no question they would win.

LYN AND KARLYN
What an outstanding leg for these two. They continue their hatred of Dustin and Kandice but now have lots of company. Did a great job getting a map of Morocco during a stopover in Paris. Were unfortunate the movie studio had an “hours of operation” or they would have yielded the beauty queens instead of being yielded themselves. They took advantage of a couple of misfortunes by staying focused. Came in second only because Tyler and James can walk faster than these two run. Remarked “We just won’t die, like roaches.” Many reasons not to like them but all respect in the world for them this week.

ROB AND KIMBERLY
Newest members of the Dustin and Kandice haters club. Rob has been a lot better as the weeks go on at keeping his temper in check, especially when they got a flat tire. But they too kept at it and wound up third.

DUSTIN AND KANDICE
Oh come on, admit it. You love these two, don’t you? Smugly arrived at the flight to Quorzazate first, happily Yielded Lyn and Karlyn, openly loved the fact that Rob and Kimberly suffered a flat tire, drove way past the entrance to the detour, and had to wait for Tyler and James to finish before they could even start the Detour. They got to the Pit Stop last and just as we were all cheering at home, we find out it was a non-elimination leg.

Look, I like their competitiveness. But I can see where everybody is sick of their attitude. They may win this race but any future opportunities, forget it.

‘Til next week.
