On the heels of Larry Coker’s departure at the University of Miami; North Carolina State’s Chuck Amato, Alabama’s Mike Shula and Arizona State’s Dirk Koetter have been let go by their respective schools.
In addition, both Michigan State and Iowa State have named or are about to name new coaches for their vacancies. Michigan State has hired University of Cincinnati head coach Mark Dantonio while Iowa State is expected to name Texas defensive coordinator Gene Chizik as their new head coach.
