The popular game from Eidos where you play a hired Hitman now has the go-ahead with the script and info that Skip Woods (Swordfish) has turned in.
Luc Besson, Daniel Alter, Chuck Gordon, and Adrian Askarieh are all on board to co-produce the film coming form 20th Century Fox Studios. They are predicting a release of the film sometime in Fall of 2007.
The biggest news for this is that Vin Diesel had long been rumored to play the bald-headed gunman, but that no longer seems to be the case. Timothy Olyphant (Deadwood) not only is the front runner, but apparently already has the role.
If going for look similarities, then Diesel was a dead on match almost to the video game character, but Olyphant has really come about in recent years and I think makes an excellent choice to play the part.
