Joey Mercury Injury Update

News

From WWE.com:

During his match at Armageddon, Joey Mercury was rushed from the arena and to a nearby hospital after one of the ladders smashed him in the face and caused his nose to pour blood.

After examination, it was announced that Mercury had suffered a broken nose, which required four stitches to the inside and 14 on the outside of the nose. According to the doctors, Mercury’s nasal passage is all clear and he should be alright.

WrestlingObserver.com reports that Joey suffered a broken nose as well as “severe lacirations” around his eyes.” PWInsider has added that Joey will be undergoing a CT scan to make sure he didn’t suffer any brain injuries. WWE’s Dr. Ferdinand Rios said that he expected Mercury would be out two months and need plastic surgery, but didn’t think he suffered a concussion. We hope he recovers quickly and wish him the best.
