Kenny Dykstra and Two Big Men Slated for Push

News

Ken Doane’s new character surname, Dykstra, was chosen because one of Brian Gewirtz’s favourite baseball players was Lenny Dykstra. The name Doane was apparently never considered. WWE wants him to be a main event heel in good time but they are not going to rush it. The plan is to make him a main eventer by around 2009 and management is said to be as keen on him as they were Randy Orton when he was first brought up from OVW. Doane and Orton both started there at a young age (17 and 19 respectively) and Doane was said to be a faster learner at every aspect of the game.

Stephanie McMahon wants Daniel Rodimer to be ‘the new Diesel,’ working with Edge and Orton in their feud with DX. There are already house show line-ups headlined by a handicap match between those five planned for February.

The McMahons have also decided that Oleg Prudius, the big Russian that Jerry Jarrett brought to WWE and who recently debuted as Vladmir Kozlov on RAW and Smackdown, is going to get a main event push despite some very bad reports from Deep South. The word there was that putting him on live TV ‘has a strong potential for disaster.’
