Trumped: The Apprentice Special: Ten Commandments of Apprentice Viewing

Features, Shows

Note: This is a personal list of commandments. But you can adopt and modify these as you see fit.

1. Thy shalt embrace the move to L.A.: After all, how many tasks can they possibly do at Chelsea Piers. And haven’t we seen enough of Times Square?

2. Thy shalt not whine about the tasks being nothing more than glorified informercials: Product placements are a fact of Apprentice life. Deal with it. Besides I was addicted to the 7-11 Pe-eat-zza for the short time it was on the market.

3. Thy shalt not see the losing team camping and wonder aloud who will be voted out at tribal council: I have to admit, this is my favourite new twist. High and mighty lawyers and business types having to cook hot dogs by a campfire. Who won’t love seeing that?

4. Thy shalt not muse about the fact that Carolyn is no longer on the show: I will miss her sharp-tongued way of putting candidates in their place. I will miss George too. I hope Ivanka improved from last year. I need to see more of Don Jr. before I pass judgement

5. Thy shalt expect the following: A male candidate who is far below the level of the other candidates and a female who talks about her beauty or sex appeal: It’s tradition. Embrace it.

6. Thy shalt not choose an early favourite based on their looks or bio: Therefore, I can’t disclose yet that I’m already a fan of Muna. Hope she doesn’t become another Toral.

7. Thy shalt actually pay attention to Trump’s tip of the week: Not that it will do me any good.

8. Thy shalt not believe Trump when he delivers his usual line at the finale .. “I still haven’t made up my mind who I’m going to hire?” Because nobody else believes him.

9. Thy shalt not cheer against Angela Ruggiero: Except in April when the World Women’s Hockey Championship is played in Manitoba.

10. Thy shalt not use the “K” word when analyzing or comparing any of the current contestants: To expect any of these candidates to live up to the standards of the season three winner (and my favourite reality contestant of all time) would be unfair and just plain wrong.

There, now bring on The Apprentice…
