A man in Atmore, Ala., was shot and wounded by his friend after the two had a heated argument over the height of the late singer James Brown. According to eyewitnesses and authorities, Dan Gulley Jr., 70, and David James Brooks Jr., 62, were at a friend’s house this past Monday when they started discussing what Brown’s height really was (It is a well-known fact that James Brown, who passed away on Dec. 25, often wore lifts to make himself look taller onstage). After exchanging several words of disagreement, Gulley eventually pulled a gun on Brooks and shot him twice in the abdomen. Brooks, who had gone to his car for his gun and tried unsuccessfully to shoot Culley back, went to a nearby police station to report the incident. Culley eventually showed up at the station as well, and admitted that the two had had a disagreement and he had shot his friend—then proceeded to drive Brooks to a nearby hospital, where he received treatment. Officers later told reporters that neither man had consumed any alcohol or drugs at the time of the incident. Bullshit.
