It seems like Kurt Angle suffered a concussion during his 30 minute Iron Man match with Samoa Joe during last night’s Final Resolution PPV. This was confirmed this morning on NBC’s show iVillage Live by Angle himself, where he made an appearance as a TNA wrestler for a cooking segment. He claims to have suffered the concussion eight minutes into the match.
According to Mike Johnson at the Pro Wrestling Insider, Angle waited unil he was out of sight from the fans to receive assistance walking back to the locker room. The report says Angle claimed to not remember parts of the match, but later he would claim to be feeling better. He was also praising Joe afterwards for being able to carry the match following his injury.
Kurt was scheduled to wrestle at tonight’s Impact taping in Orlando, but it doesn’t appear as if he’s going to wrestle following his concussion. In Impact news, TNA is planing on having a PPV caliber match for the main event for this Thursday’s Impact, but we won’t know what that is until the tapings.
