As the title suggests, former OVW and Smackdown talent Brent Albright had his first interview since being well wished on his future endeavors by the WWE.
Here are some highlights:
- The WWE told him he was going to be Benoit’s protégé so he wrestled in a style similar to Benoit. They were left without a direction for him when Benoit was out with an injury and that lead to him being released
- They spoke about CM Punk’s recent loss to hardcore Holly and Albright tried to see Punk’s direction change in a positive light. (The two worked together in OVW, this wasn’t just a random question)
- Albright doesn’t want to see more interaction between WWE and ROH because of the difference in styles and ROH doesn’t need WWE guys to sell out their shows ‘Mania weekend.
- He has already contacted TNA about being hired, but TNA is not making any new hires until they get a two hour time slot on Spike TV.
- He’s a big Tomko fan. No joke
- If brought back to the WWE, he’d love to join Benoit in a tag team, he’d like to work with Kennedy because they used to hang out, and on RAW he’d like to work with Carlito.
- He won’t say anything bad about the WWE because it was always his dream to work for them
- Lastly, he pimped the ROH Five-Year Anniversary Festival and told people to find him on myspace at www.myspace.com/BrentAlbright.
