[SPOILERS] Heroes – Episode 1-12

News, Shows, Spoilers

Episode 1.12: Godsend
Airdate: January 22, 2007

This episode begins with “Two Weeks Later”. That means it is three weeks before November 8, when Manhattan blew up. As the episode begins, Hiro, Nathan and Peter have all returned to New York, where we learn Hiro’s powers have been diminishing since he failed to rescue his waitress-girlfriend Charlie.

Peter, meanwhile, is in a coma, reliving the dream of apocalypse. It turns out that Sylar did not escape PrimaTech Paper following the unpleasantness with Eden.
Claire’s nerd-pal, Zach, isn’t gone for good after all.

Nathan comes to remark that Hiro’s English is much improved. Hiro attributes this to Charlie, who taught him “many things.” Hiro has a run-in with a T-Rex.

Niki, while in Vegas, makes a very interesting discovery about herself.

We do not learn to whom Jack Bennet reports, but a plural pronoun is employed.
The shadowy “Linderman” does not yet surface (at least not overtly), but the name “Linderman” comes up a lot.

Peter does not fly, but there are special effects aplenty.

Claude, an invisible man played by British actor Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who), first appears here. “He’s been living with his invisibility for many years and has come to grips with it, so he’ll give us a different view into this hero world,” [Tim] Kring explains. “He’s big, imposing and charismatic, and will become a mentor to Peter — albeit a tough, reluctant and stern one. He’ll help Peter learn to use and control his powers. He sports a beard and we don’t meet him till near episode’s end.

A female character is written off, possibly forever.

A major scene from the pilot gets reenacted.

An estranged couple patches things up.

Tim Kring reveals: Ted disappeared at the end of Episode Nine and doesn’t show up again until 12. He breaks out. He’s abducted and then he breaks out. He’s hell bent on finding out what happened to him. Ted is a really a fun character, but we drop him for several episodes while he’s out there in the wind.

And here’s how it the episode ends..”Who needs God when you got me?”

I'm not embarrassed to say that my favorite television show of all-time is The O.C. I live by the motto "you can't fight fate!" More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
