Saw III

Saw III is the third film in the bloody franchise, but this time pitting Jigsaw’s apprentice against some unfortunate victims of pure circumstance. When people take their existence for granted, the evil mastermind makes sure they don’t get to live out the gift they were given life. It proves to be a fantastic film in the series as they just continue get better, more edge of your seat tense, and a lot gorier.

The Guardian

Step into the shoes of a United States’ Coast Guard trainer as he teaches a class of new recruits all about survival, tactics, and how to deal with loss. The Guardian presents a love story full of tough choices to be made and difficult rescue missions to be accomplished.

Jesus Camp

Learn about both sides of the coin as a religious camp that teaches kids all about Jesus Christ and the right ways to live their lives is profiled through the eyes of its supporters and antagonists. The teaching methods of the camp are shown and profiled as others try to figure out if the young children are being brainwashed or simply learning the right path.

Fiddler On The Roof: Special Edition

One of the most famous films of all time gets the full and proper treatment in this two-disc set loaded with special features. Set in revolutionary Russia, Tevye struggles to deal with his poor life, his family traditions, his Jewish heritage, and everything that comes along with a difficult life.

The Invincible Iron Man

The origins of how Tony Stark became the iron clad superhero are revealed in this animated feature film. The Invincible Iron Man pits the hero against the secrets from the ancient Chinese ruins as the dark emperor Mandarin’s return is threatened by his evil henchmen, the Elementals. It’s up to Iron Man to stop them before they can take over the entire planet.

Brokeback Mountain: Collector’s Edition

Academy Award winning Brokeback Mountain is also getting a two-disc edition release this week complete with plenty of special features. The film tells the story of two cowboys who have a secret desire for each other, but must keep their love secret so as not to affect the lives of others in their lives. Love proves to be the strongest feeling of all though as they simply must be with one another.

Walker, Texas Ranger: The Complete Second Season

Chuck Norris returns as the butt-kicking police ranger who fights crime to keep the city streets and dirt roads of America safe. Walker and his partner Trivette use their two different methods of solving crimes to do everything they can to get the bad guys and keep them behind bars.

Jacknife

Robert DeNiro (Joseph) and Ed Harris (David) star in this western from the late eighties about two Vietnam army friends who survived the tragic war. Conflict soon starts up as David’s sister starts up a relationship with Joseph, who constantly reminds David of the horrible occurrences that went on while they were in the service.

Cocaine Cowboys

Miami became one of the biggest drug trafficking cities in the world back in the early to mid eighties. Cocaine Cowboys depicts the story of how all the drugs, murder, money, and crime came about as told through the mouths of those who were involved and had their lives affected by those fast-paced years.

Sherry has just gotten out of jail after serving a three year term. She has longed to get back to her daughter to try and begin her life again where she left off. The problem is that things and people change a lot in even the course of just three years so Sherry is finding it very hard to get her life back.

The film takes a look at the MPAA to see if there is an actual set of guidelines to how films get their ratings, or if they are in cahoots with particular studios to keep things the way they like them to be.
