TV Babies: Prison Break's Mixed Up Return

Shows

I’ll admit it: I’m all over the place with Prison Break. My feelings for the Fox drama are spread as far and wide as the escapees currently are. I’ve gone back-and-forth regarding Season Two in particular, and Monday night’s John Doe has me doubting the show yet again…

First things last: it’s time for T-Bag’s luck to run out. He’s definitely shown more cunning than any of the prison breakers, but enough already. Now he’s going to hold his ex’s family hostage?

You could probably say the same for C-Note. The man without a plan is now a fugitive on the run, with his daughter in tow and his wife in prison. He tries to turn himself in, in exchange for his wife’s release – but no dice. A little too late for that, don’t you think?

As for the front-burner stuff, we find out that Mahone is still alive. Gotta say that was an interesting twist. Steadman killing himself, not so much. It’s like the writers never seemed to know what to do with the character, and Steadman killing himself was the easy way out. “So many people have died because of you,” barks Lincoln to Steadman before his untimely demise. A man of few words (and actually a bit annoying lately), Linc had some strong moments in this hour…

The biggest waste of time? Three words: Bellick behind bars.

So, the setup for the remainder of Season Two is right in front of us: Michael, Lincoln and Kellerman head to D.C., with Mahone not far behind. How Sara fits into this scenario will be the key.

What did you guys think? Does anyone else share my Jeckyll & Hyde feelings towards this show?

Next week: Catching up with our favorite Prison Breaker Sucre…
