Was anyone as confused as I was, with both of the medical cases? I would have liked to of known more about the runner, who had severe dehydration that caused his legs to swell. As for the Amish girl with the tumor, why did she allow herself to deteriorate when it had been caught earlier? I just though the medical cases could have been more thought out in the end.
Someone had to crack first and I just knew that it would be Cristina. She finally broke the silence between her and Burke, but who would have thought that it would end in a marriage proposal. If she was in the relationship for the “long haul”, then why not say yes. I guess it’s just another way to drag out the story. Oh and speaking of taking the plunge, George proposed to Callie because just looking at her makes him feel better. Obviously his mind a bit clouded, after losing his father, so I’m hoping she can see that he’s using the proposal as a means to get over his grief. It should be interesting to see how that story plays out.
Miranda finally got what she’s needed to start The Denny Duquette Memorial clinic. Izzie offered the eight million to fund it with the money Danny left her. After last week, we knew Bailey respected Izzie so this new business relationship will be worthwhile. When she ordered the four pouting attendings to sign their name to an endorsement for her free clinic, it felt like we were seeing her all over again. She would make a great Chief. Of course, the position is probably not going to be open much longer since Richard discovered that his wife is with someone else and he’ll probably try to take his resignation back. Whether he will be allowed to remains to be seen. That would certainly be an interesting twist – the board refusing to allow Richard to take back his resignation and instead becoming an attending to one of his current attendings.
The big moment of course, was when the four attendings discovered that Richard was resigning. Now they think they all have a shot as Chief. Derek thought he was going to get the job if the resignation ever came, but after learning about his Burke’s hand that idea quickly faded. Addison’s only hold up to being Chief, would be her relationship with Karev. Come to think of it, that never stopped Richard, after his affair with Meredith’s mother, so who knows now.
