UPDATED Ratings Plus WWE and TNA Going Head-to-Head

News, Ratings

Monday’s RAW scored a 4.2 cable rating (6.2 share), up from last week’s 4.1, with hours of 4.0 and 4.3. JR’s Webmaster added these notes on JR’s blog: RAW “delivered 3.8 million households, and 5.4 million persons 2+. Raw delivered a 4.0 rating or more in six consecutive quarter hours Monday night.” This is a good number, and USA Network has ads all over the advertising and cable trade magazines this week hyping up its #1 status for 2006, including a photo of John Cena plus other “characters” from its key shows.

Saturday’s TNA replay got a 0.7 cable rating (1.4 share), and Sunday’s AM RAW got a 0.7 cable rating (3.1 share).

Tuesday’s ECW got a 1.7 cable rating for the debut of Vince McMahon, up from last week’s 1.5.

CORRECTED: Tuesday’s WSX official debut, going head to head with the second half of ECW, scored a 0.78 cable rating — much higher than its usual rating for the timeslot — in its official premiere. WSX on MTV got a .44 rating last Friday (1/26) for the unadvertised sneak preview and a .43 at 12:30 AM on 1/31, bringing the total not including online views to over 2 million viewers.

Last night’s TNA iMPACT! got a 1.0 cable rating.
