With not much news for some time, all of a sudden there is tons of it for the long-rumored Flash movie from Warner Brothers. Flash is a long-time DC Comics superhero with lightning fast speed.

The original man set to write and direct it was David Goyer who has worked on Batman Begins, the Blade movie and TV series, and most recently Ghost Rider. Goyer announced last week that even though he had written a script; he and Warner Bros. could not come to an agreement on how Flash was to turn out.

The God’s honest truth is that WB and myself simply couldn’t agree on what would make for a cool Flash film. I’m quite proud of the screenplay I turned it. I threw my heart into it and I genuinely think it would’ve been the basis of a ground-breaking film. But as of now, the studio is heading off in a completely different direction.

Well Warner Bros. has already turned the reigns over to another director in the form of Shawn Levy. Levy has been director for such films as The Pink Panther, Cheaper By The Dozen, and Night At The Museum.

Levy is said to be an overseer on the writing of the draft and may also produce. There is also the rumor that some elements of Goyer’s script will still be used in the final draft. Warner Bros. is said to be on track to make Flash a bit more light-hearted and not as dark as some of it’s previous comic films.

You can talk this over in our forums as our Insyders already have a discussion going on all going on.
