SKTV – Scrubs and CSI

Shows

OK, so first up, Scrubs, which thankfully rebounded from last week’s horrid episode with a much better effort, as they bring back the wackiness and do a road trip, thus giving us lots of Ted and Janitor action. Some good lines as well, including Turk still trying to get “Pickle” over as Carla’s new nickname, “Dorian” being turned into a verb, and appearances from BOTH Dr. Mickhead and Dr. Beardface, which is a pretty big rarity in the Scrubsverse. It still feels like they’re trying to wean us off JD, however, and I don’t like that. I like JD! I don’t want JD to go! Maybe Keith can get all introspective and start narrating the show, I dunno. At any rate, Kim’s fake miscarriage was a pretty bad thing to do, and I don’t think JD would want someone who would lie about that anyway. It also acts as a cheap way for the writers to get out of that corner without actually having to be the guys who killed her baby. Well, figuratively speaking. Maybe they should do more musical episodes, I dunno. Maybe it’s just getting to be time to put the show to rest.

Speaking of shows which are almost ready to be put out to pasture, Grissom’s sabbatical from CSI nearly killed the show for me, as I totally lost interest in Liev Schrieber’s brooding Keppler character after the first appearance. Reverse forensics? Are ya KIDDING me? Luckily, the “WHOISKEPPLER.COM” website that was advertised during the show doesn’t even exist anymore and just points to the general CSI website instead. Keppler was an interesting character, but I was pretty glad to see him die tonight, especially since Katherine is really irritating lately and her love of him only made me hate her more. Speaking of hatred, I guess William Peterson forgot how much people hated his damn beard, because now it’s back and bushier than ever! But really, didn’t everyone else hold their breath when he got to the big box from the Scale Model Killer? They’d better have one hell of a payoff for this storyline, because poor Keppler had to DIE to drag it out longer. Much like this blog. Until next week…
