Well, with the news of a fifth JAWS possibly coming striaght into your homes sometime in the future, the talk of more direct-to-video films is being thrown around. And it looks as if they are sincerely trying to kill some of the original films we have all loved for years.

It’s been 17 years since Gremlins 2 graced the big screen, so surely it’s time to bring a third film directly to your DVD players. The film would most likely ave Gremlins that are totally CGI rather then the old puppets they used in the first two films. Warner Brothers is certainly moving forward with the film in hoping it can rekindle the franchise or simply bring in some extra cash.

Talk has also started up again on the long long rumored sequel to The Goonies. It’s been sometime, but I recall when Richard Donner and the original cast had been looking to go forward with a second film, but originally planned for theatres. The storyline had been the original Goonies’ children coming together to once again save their homes from demolition. Another story had the children coming together to save their parents from some sort of trouble.

Other rumored direct-to-video sequels in talks are Lost Boys 2, Scooby-Doo 3, and New Jack City 2.
