TNR: Total Nonstop Recaps

We start with a recap of the end of last weeks brawl with Styles, Christian, Joe, and Angle followed by clips of the Sting/Abyss angle. I still think its wierd to see Styles in anything but the underwear tights, but I guess that I’m just one of those people fears change. Moving on…

Match 1: Abyss V.S. Chase Stevens
Abyss is wearing a red mask this week because Sting is a dirty rotten thief and stole the mask that he usually wears. Abyss attacks to start and wails on Stevens in the corner. Stevens gets a punch and a leapfrog before he’s met with a Black Hole Slam for the 3-count. Afterwards, Andy Douglas comes in to check on Stevens, so Abyss gives him the Shock Treatment just for the hell of it.

Suddenly, Sting appears on the big screen and accepts Abyss’ challenge for a prison yard match. He then says that he and a Abyss will meet in the ring tonight. Abyss shakes his head and clinches his fist. You know, the usual.

Now we get the opening video. Duh duh…duh duh.

Tenay and West hype the main event and show us the results from the text message poll inquiring as to who is Christian Cage’s consultant. These are the results:
1) Goldberg 30%
2) Brock Lesnar 26%
3) Samoa Joe 10%
4) None of the Above 34%

Up next we get an interview with Joe and Angle. Basically, they hate each other, but they have each other’s backs. Oh, and Kurts going to kick Christian and A.J.’s asses in the main event. Or so he thinks…

We come back from break to see Tomko beating up a rail with a pipe, which I think is just plain mean. Christian shows up, tells Tomko he’s a tough son of a bitch and he’s going to defeat Kurt Angle this Sunday, which makes Tomko feel better. Then they kiss and make up. Ok, ok. They just make up.

Next we get a taped promo from Brother D-Von about families and disrespect and whatnot.

We cut back to the ring where Brother Ray cuts a pretty good promo about how LAX crossed the line and challenges the champs to a Little Italy Street Fight. Konnan then appears on the ramp and tells the Impact Zone to go straight to Hell before saying that LAX is his family.

Next we get drunk Brother Runt, who gets told to go back to the bar, and he obliges. LAX attacks and beats Team 3D.

Christy Hemme talks about her match at the PPV that nobody cares about. Kip James interrupts with a hooker reference, which B.G. doesn’t care for. Christy gets pissed and leaves while Kip says that she isn’t worth 5 bucks.

We come back to get hyped for the Motor City Chain Match, which is in Orlando. I don’t get it.

Next we get a promo from Styles and Christian hyping the main event.

Match 2: Six-Man Tag Team Match
James Storm, Chris Sabin, & Austin Starr V.S. Rhyno, Jerry Lynn, & Senshi Lynn and Storm start with Lynn getting a crossbody for 1. Storm reverses a whip and Sabin pulls Lynn down by his hair from behind. Storm hits a side slam and tags in Starr, who covers for 2. Lynn eats turnbuckle and they trade punches before Starr gets a back heal trip. Starr misses the pendulum elbow and Lynn tags in Senshi, who chops the piss out of Starr and hits a running forearm. Storm comes in and eats a dropkick for his troubles. Senshi hits a springboard roundhouse kick on Starr, but eats a forearm from Sabin, who nails Lynn as well. Rhino comes in and throws Sabin to the outside, while Senshi goes up for the double stomp, but Storm crotches him. Starr hits the brainbuster for the win.

It’s Paparazzi Productions time. Kevin Nash tell Sonjay Dutt and Jay Lethal that he is the reason that Sting and Samoa Joe are stars and that he do the same for them. Funny stuff.

Back from the break we see Eric Young and Tracy makin’ babies on the copy machine. Just kidding, but Borash walks in and Tracy tells EY that she loves him. She’s having sex with somebody else. Trust me, I know.

Sting comes to the ring to hype the Prison Yard Match before a cage lowers from the ceiling. Sting reveals the cage to contain James Mitchell. Abyss comes down and a brawl breaks out, which ends with Abyss hitting Sting with a chair while Mitchell chokes him with his belt.

Next we get a video package on Christopher Daniels that hints towards him becoming a heavyweight title contender. We can only hope.

Mike and Don run down the card for Against All Odds.

Jeremy Borash interviews A.J. Pierzenski and Demon in the back. I’m pretty sure that nobody gives a shit. Oh yeah, Lance Hoyt comes in and Johnny Damon hits Demon with a chair.

Main Event: Tag Team Match
A.J. Styles & Christian Cage V.S. Samoa Joe & Kurt Angle

Brawl to start, with Angle beating down Christian on the floor while Joe chops Styles. A.J. Styles missing a second-rope moonsault, but hits an eye poke and tags Christian. Christian charges Joe but gets hit with a powerslam for 2. Joe hits a charging knee in the corner. Styles gets a blind tag and hits Joe with a flying forearm as we go to a…

We come back as Christian puts the boots to Joe. Christian tries to charge Joe in the corner but gets hit with an inverted STO. Styles and Angle tag in and Angle goes ape shit and hits German suplexes on both guys. Angle goes for the Angle Slam on Styles, but Christian saves him and gets tossed to the floor for his troubles. Angle hits it this time but Christian makes the save. Joe attacks Christian while Styles hits the pele on Angle.

Styles climbs to the top but Rhino comes out and punches him and he gets caught with the olympic slam off the top rope. Christian tries to make the save but gets caught the Kokina Clutch by Joe as Angle picks up the win for his team.

After the match, Scott Steiner returns, I guess to reveal himself as Christians Consultant by destroying Angle and Joe.

We finish this week’s show with a music video by The Yearning to hype Against All Odds.
