QnD Results: TNA Against All Odds PPV

PPVs, Reviews

Christian Cage held onto his NWA World Heavyweight Championship tonight, holding off Kurt Angle with a pinfall victory following a series of ref bumps, run-ins and the Unprettier. Here are the quick results from the PPV, according to the show report on TNAWrestling.com (which, by the way, left the X Title and Styles/Rhyno matches off THEIR quick results!), with my star ratings:

– Preshow: Serotonin defeated Sonjay Dutt & Jay Lethal (*)
– The Latin American Xchange defeated Team 3D in a “Little Italy Street Fight” (* 1/2)
– Senshi defeated Austin Starr (***)
– Christy Hemme defeated “Big Fat Oily Guy” (DUD)
– Lance Hoyt defeated Dale Torborg in the Basebrawl 2 match (1/2 *)
– Motor City Chain Match: AJ Styles defeated Rhyno (**)
– X Division Title Match: Chris Sabin defeated Jerry Lynn (**)
– James Storm and Jackie Moore beat Petey Williams and Gail Kim (** 1/4)
– Prison Yard Match: Sting defeated Abyss (**)
– World Title Match: Christian Cage retained over Kurt Angle (*** 1/4)

Also on the show, Jim Cornette spat in the face of women’s wrestling by making Hemme’s match a “Tuxedo Match,” Angle and Joe arrived at the arena together in a limo (but were at odds by the end of the show), and Tracy tricked Eric Young into thinking she’d have sex with him but reneging after he signed a contract to basically become Bobby Roode’s lackey (while Nash, Dutt, Lethal and Leticia watched a video Shelley took of the hotel rendevous, only to be yelled at by Bob Backlund for disrespecting American society).

Head on over to our reader forums to discuss the show. Plus, we’ll have full coverage tomorrow night of the “This is TNA” special as well as a RABBLE, so stay tuned to Pulse Wrestling for ALL the TNA newz you can handle!
