A Co-Host Turned Blogger: Grey's Anatomy

Shows

First off, I’ll admit it. I missed Thursday’s show, knowing it would be a nail biter. I had planned to watch the re-run last night, but who wasn’t talking about the show Friday morning? I knew it would be a good one and it certainly was.

Just like the crew, I had no idea what to expect when they arrived at the ferryboat accident. Okay! Let’s take a second to observe the scene, but did anyone feel as if it took too long for them to get to work? Once they did I really enjoyed how they split to save lives, focusing on four separate stories. I was more into Meredith’s and Alex’s story line. How amazing was Meredith with that quiet little blonde girl, having her act as her assistant. I really do hope that when she walked away she was going for help, after Meredith fell into the water. We can only hope.

Alex finds a pregnant woman (Jane Doe) pinned by a cement pylon, barley alive. He took such good care of her. It’s such a treat when Alex shows his tender, caring side. Addison sure dug it at the end when she watched Alex comfort the woman, making sure she was OK. I loved how he encouraged her to get better and that he stressed to her that so many others were worst off than she, and that she kept grabbing his hand.

Izzie’s rescue was pretty intriguing too, but I don’t see much hope for the man trapped under the car. We learn later that he got himself into the mess by trying to save others. You could see how Izzie was trying to block that out of her mind and that he’s a father of five. Let’s face it! Search and rescue won’t be there anytime soon. The only way that man is going to live, is if she let’s his friends take a shot in lifting the car.

I’m not sure if anyone caught George saying there was a deceased child on the scene. I really hope that not the seven year old boy, he promised that woman he’d find.
She won’t go into surgery unless she finds her son.

As for me, I’ll be counting down the days to find out how all these stories end. Part two should be just as good, challenging the interns of Seattle Grace like never before.
