This season’s edition of The Amazing Race promised us some old Racers with new relationships, and while some teams have since married or broken up, we have one entirely new team with a relationship forged during Season 9 of The Amazing Race. I’m of course talking about the former (non-)Frat Boy, Eric and his girlfriend, Danielle one half of Double D.
From the outset of Season 9, it seemed destined that Double D and the Frat Boys would hook up – at during those periods where Eric and Jeremy weren’t hooking up (in a heterosexual sense) with Hippies B.J. and Tyler, that is. However, Double D simply weren’t a strong enough team given the presence of Hippies, Frat Boys and Ray-Yos, and kept finishing in the back of the pack until their elimination in eighth place.
Eric and Jeremy, however, came about as close as one could get without winning, losing out to the Hippies after getting stumped at the final Roadblock, which as they lamented, required brains.
After the Race, Eric and Danielle started dating, and even though the relationship is a long distance one, the duo is still together, and is gunning for the million that they missed out on two seasons ago. It will be interesting to see how they operate as a team we know that Eric can more than hold up his end, but Danielle is a question mark. If she can step up, this team will go far in the Race, perhaps earning Eric his second trip to the Finish Line.
