You're Not Ready For Papa Roach

From Blabbermouth:

Gary Graff of Billboard.com reports that PAPA ROACH hopes to release some acoustic recordings in the future. But their time has not come yet.

“I don’t think our fans are quite ready for this yet,” frontman Jacoby Shaddix told Billboard.com. “So we’ve put it on the back burner, but it’s definitely something we’re gonna touch on in the future.”

Shaddix said the Sacramento, Calif., quartet recently recorded three of its songs — “Scars”, the new single “Forever” and “Not Coming Home” — acoustically in Scotland, “just to test the waters and see how they sounded. They came out great. First and foremost, it was fun, and the sound quality was killer.”

Got that, Papa Roach fans? You are not quite ready to hear them acoustic. You’re not.

YOU ARE NOT.

What on earth is that supposed to mean? Apparently the same ring of fans are ready to hear Staind and Korn gone acoustic. One might say that Papa Roach is the very definition of the middle-road musically between those two bands.

Of course, we all know what this really means: playing acoustically, they sound terrible. What the fans aren’t ready for is to hear them suck to the point that nobody will ever buy their albums ever again. They need to ascend to higher heights before they can record total crap that people will buy regardless of quality.

I’m sure none of us are ready to hear Cannibal Corpse’s rap album or Rammstein’s polka disc, either. So thank you, Papa Roach, for not making our ears bleed.
