In one of the stranger news bits of the day, 300 producer Mark Canton is now talking about making a possible sequel to the film while making his rounds at one of the recent press junkets designed to help promote the movies release.
Now, I bet your wondering the same thing I am with this news: Did he pay attention at all during history class, or even read the script (or graphic novel for that matter) to the film? Because it’s hard to even comprehend a sequel to a factually based historical event where each and every man who fought at Thermopylae died in battle. How on earth can anyone make a sequel to that? Sure, there is a possible opening at the end of Miller’s book that could lead to a second film, but it would take away everything that makes those final moments great.
With this kind of thinking, I can’t wait until Titanic 2.
We’ll be sure to have more on this story when it becomes available.
