A title that is on the verge of competing with Army of Darkness as the double-dips of all double-dips, Dirty Dancing: 20th Anniversary Edition makes its way to DVD on May 8, 2007.

Lionsgate Home Entertainment will release the Swayziest movie of the eighties – if you don’t count Road House – in a two-dsic set. The film itself will have an anamorphic widescreen transfer and new-and-improved Dolby Digtal 5.1 track.

Special features include an audio commentary with writer Eleanor Bergstein, a trivia track, deleted scenes and alternate takes, outtakes, a new interview with Patrick Swayze, a tribute to Jerry Orbach, original screen tests, multi-angle dance sequences, the featurette “The Classic Story on Stage” with interviews with Emile Ardoliano, Bergstein, Jennifer Grey and Kenny Ortega, music videos (“Hungry Eyes,” “She’s Like the Wind,” “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life”), and a photo and trailer galleries. Retail is $19.98.
