The Amazing Race: All Stars Boston Rob Week: Thursday The Original Frat Boys

Features, Shows

Kevin and Drew came very close to making it to the Finish Line in the very first Amazing Race. They started slow, but picked up the pace, making it all the way to Beijing before being eliminated.

Kevin and Drew met way back in 1984, when Kevin was pledging Drew’s fraternity, Delta Psi Upsilon. Years later, they entered The Amazing Race, and left with a 94% popularity rating from the fans. Why so popular? Well, the constant bickering yet obvious friendship with one another probably helped. But I suppose it’s how they try to keep a sense of humour about themselves (similar to KennyG and the Clowns) that make them so likable.

Race-wise, it should be interesting. This team is not your classic Alpha Male team (unless you consider bald and overweight to be the classic definition… not that there’s anything wrong with being bald and/or overweight. I’m perilously on the verge of both.), but given the other teams, Kevin and Drew are probably as close as you’re gonna get. And that makes them a big threat. And going up against former rivals Joe and Bill, you just know that they’ll want to do better than Team Guido, so there’s more motivation right there. And I’ve found out through the Murtz-vine that they are friends with Rob and Amber (they’re Mets fans, so I suppose it’s allowed), so could an alliance be in the works during the Race?

Finally, a little bit of interesting trivia. This is the third Race that Kevin and Drew have been involved in (what, have you forgotten their little cameo in Family Edition?). Time will tell as to whether the third time be the charm for these two.
