SUNDAY

I’m From Rolling Stone

I didn’t see the episodes that I have missed, even though I recorded them when MTV said they would be on. Come on MTV, get with the program. Until then, nothing on this night!

MONDAY

The Hills

Heidi keeps finding out the down and dirty stuff that Spencer has done to her. To name a few, sneaking around her back and going out with Audrina and giving her flowers that were first given to Heidi. Audrina and Lauren tell Heidi to dump Spencer for good. Spencer swears he wants to be with Heidi only and the two blonde chicks he was with at the club didn’t mean anything. Sure Spencer.

Lauren has to plan a dinner for Teen Vogue. Trouble is that another intern from the New York office named Emily is coming down to help her plan it. Competition baby! She’s “Super Intern”. She’s got everything together. From the invitations to the flowers, Emily seems to have everything down. The entire time Lauren has this look on her face that is priceless. She is in aw.

Lauren has dinner with Heidi and another friend. Lauren says the only time she misses having a boyfriend is when she is putting stuff together, like hooking up a TV, or carrying a lot of groceries inside. Spencer keeps calling and texting Heidi. Heidi at first says she doesn’t want anything to him, but eventually she begins to miss him. Stupid girl! She gives him another chance.

It’s time for the final approval of the dinner from Lisa. Lisa thinks there are too many flowers, which is pretty funny to see the looks on Lauren and Whitney’s faces. But Emily ends up getting to stay for the dinner, while Whitney and Lauren are shown the door. I thought that was a little rude, but whatever. Whitney and Lauren don’t seem to mind too much.

Stupid Heidi gets in the car with Spencer to end this episode. She’s a young and dumb girl like most. Always give the dumbasses and jerks a second chance. She will get burned again, and she will have to learn ANOTHER harsh lesson. I could almost accept it if this was her first time around. But didn’t she go through this with Jordan from last season? Anyways enough of that until next week!

DanceLife

Blake is having people over to his house to watch the GAP commercial that he and Staci were in. Everyone watches that and then Kenny says he is having a BBQ at his apartment the next day. So it’s from one party to another.

Before the party, everyone gets a dance lesson from Flii Stylz, choreographer to Usher and Missy Elliot. Now on to the BBQ. I should mention that Nolan appears to be absent from all of this stuff, except the dance lesson. At the BBQ, Kenny is really missing his girlfriend. Her name is Ashley and she is a Pussycat Doll. Kenny’s roommate, Nick, has a thing for Jersey. Smart man! He asks her to come see his musical group call “The Fothermuckers”.

Kenny goes and sees the Pussycat Dolls in concert at some place. He meets up with Ashley after the show. All of the PSD are happy to see him, but Ashley doesn’t seem as happy as she should be. This was a little awkward to me. Maybe it’s the cameras around Kenny. Meanwhile, Jersey goes to see Nick’s group and it’s just weird. That’s all I can say about it. It’s like a mix between rap and corny rap. Yeah, you had to hear it. Nick asks Jersey out on a date afterwards.

Kenny and Ashley have their dinner and they finally act like a couple. Nick and Jersey go to a salsa club to learn that dance. Ashley lets Kenny know the bad news. She has to get up early the next morning to do a music video. Then, she has to go to Asia for a tour. Nick tells Jersey some bad news as well. Nick booked a job in Toronto for the musical “Hairspray”. She is a little disappointed, but they plan to see each other when they can.

They all say their goodbyes and Jersey is all smiles, while Kenny is not. It’s time to dance for Kenny! My favorite part of the show. Although, this music he is dancing to doesn’t seem right. The next day Kenny visits Ashley at the set of her video and they work things. Some day they will be able to spend all of their time together.

TUESDAY

Road Rules: Viewer’s Revenge

We take a look at what happened on RoadRules.MTV.com over the weekend. The fans decided to have Monte and Dan face off in “The Pit” for Ab’s spot on the RV. They compete in a game called “Fumble”. Basically a football drops and they have to run and grab it and cross the goal line. Best of 5 wins. Monte wins the first round. Dan wins the next one. Dan takes the third and fourth rounds. Dan is on the RV!

Apparently, Dan and Tori dig each other. Yay! Another romance. Adam just hopes that Dan doesn’t punch anyone. The others want to know Dan’s story. He is a marine and that’s about it. Susie thinks Dan and Tori will kiss within a week.

Time for the next mission. This mission is the first “Pit Stop”. That means the RV crew will face the members of “The Pit Crew” including Veronica. Veronica is excited to face off against her former RoadRulers. Whoever wins this mission gets to keep the $10,000. “The Pit Crew” gets to split up the money right now, will the “RV Crew” gets it banked for their ultimate reward.

This pit stop involves getting into boy/girl pairs and collecting tires along the sandy hills of this beach. The teams are Adam and Kina, Shane and Tori, Susie and Dan, Ivory and David, Jerry and Veronica, and Monte and Angel. This is a tough challenge. Not only do they have to run on the sand, which is hard enough, they have to run up and down hills as well. Shane berates Tori as he pulls her along. But the most noteworthy thing here is that people are getting physically sick. Jerry has an asthma attack and throws up. Tori throws up as well. Tori is good to continue, though. Jerry is not and that stops the competition. “RV Crew” win by the count of 28 tires to 20.

Time to vote the people into “The Pit”! Cue the evil music. They only have to vote one person into “The Pit” now. The viewers will vote the person to face them. That makes a little more sense than choosing two people and having the fans vote for one of them AND their opponent. They decide to draw names from a hat. It ends up being Tori. Tori is going into “The Pit”! Dan doesn’t want to see Tori go. This is seriously getting too dramatic. Even if Tori loses in “The Pit”, she can still come back at some point! It’s not like she is automatically leaving the show. You should have voted already for Tori’s opponent. Be sure to check out all of the action over on MTV.com this weekend!

Bam’s Unholy Union

Missy wants to get serious about the wedding planning. They have not done anything really. They need to find a venue fast. Bam just wants to have sex and be in a music video for Viking Skull. Missy meets up with the wedding planner.

Missy and Bam go to Detroit to look for their wedding rings. They need to get back home in time to look at the wedding venue. But a bad snow storm keeps them stuck in Cleveland for the night. Bam gets drunk and keeps talking about a guy’s strange name. They meet a guy named “Dusan Mandic”. You can pretty much write the jokes from here.

The snow finally clears up. They go to Philadelphia to see the venue. The funniest part of the episode happens here. Yes, even funnier than watching Missy try to ride a skateboard. Missy sticks her hand out of the window of the Hummer and drops the keys outside of the car after they pulled up in front of the venue. The keys fall right into a storm drain. They have to go inside and get a broom and get some tape and hook the keys out of the drain.

In the end, Bam likes this place a lot and they have their venue. He really likes it since he can climb up on this big sign outside. Missy is not too sure about doing that in her wedding dress, though.

Two-A-Days

Brandon gets a haircut and still says that he and Ross need to develop a relationship on the field. Brandon says last week’s game was intense. Lots of “N-words” were flying around.

Time for some high school drama. Everyone goes to this campfire including Kristen, Charlie, Mark, and Brittany. Mark and Charlie are not staying the night. Brittany is and Mark doesn’t want her laying next to another guy in a tent. Brittany swears that won’t happen, but Mark doesn’t believe her. He blows up and they have a big fight. They have dinner the next day and work things out. Once Brittany found out that less girls were staying the night, they decided to not stay the night.

Coach Propst talks to Ross. He thinks the world of him, but they talk about his troubles. Propst says that the quarterback and receivers have to be in sync for this offense to succeed. He spends most of his time at practice yelling at Brandon. He makes a bunch of mistakes. Brandon really wants to talk to Ross about their problems connecting. Meanwhile, Charlie gets his report card and it has a ‘D’ on it for English! Charlie hides his report card from his parents for now.

It’s time for Hoover vs. Homewood. Ross goes deep on the first play to Brandon and that pass connects. But the next play Ross fumbles the ball over. Homewood scores first 7-0. The defense is getting tired of bailing out the offense. Hoover finally scores on a long pass from Ross to Charlie. It’s 7-7. In the third quarter, Hoover jumps out to a 24-7 lead. But Homewood comes back and makes it 24-14. Charlie is making all of the big catches in this game. Brandon is confused on some plays. In the end, Hoover dominates with a 44-24 win! Charlie is the MVP of the game. His parents are happy now, but they don’t know about his report card.

Wrestling Society X

Check out PK’s report of this week’s episode. That’s all I really have to say about this. Although, I used to be a BIG Bret Hart fan so good to see Teddy Hart as he carries the Hart Family legacy.

WEDNESDAY

The Real World: Denver

Davis, Colie, and Jenn go to the Gay Pride Parade in Denver. This is the first time that Davis has been to an event like this. He finally feels good about being “out”. Later, Stephen and Davis go to church together. This church accepts gay Christians. Stephen used to think those two things didn’t go together, but sees things differently now.

Love is in the air for various roommates. Tyrie gets a visit from Jiselle. She is coming from a lingerie party, so Tyrie decides to greet her outside naked! That’s right, he is walking around naked. He chases after Stephen inside of the house, which is pretty funny.

Davis gets a visit from his boyfriend, P.J. Davis is really excited to see him. Brooke thinks they look alike and I agree. Stephen can’t handle the gay kissing and sex just yet, so he decides to sleep in a different room. Alex, Tyrie, and Stephen agree that Davis broke all stereotypes they had for gay people. They have no problems with him.

Stephen gets a visit from his girlfriend, Mercii as well. Later, they go on a double date with Davis and P.J. We find out that Davis’ family has disowned him. His mom and brothers and sisters won’t talk to him anymore, because he’s gay. Stephen says coming to this house has opened up his eyes. He finally sees that Davis is really in a relationship and it’s okay to be gay. So everyone is happy now, but that will change next week.

Maui Fever

Cheyne has girl problems. Mainly Rachael’s cat peeing in their bed and she getting mad that he still is friends with his ex-girlfriend, Anna. Cheyne is seriously thinking about being single or at least not being with Rachael.

Sean and Corbin meet up with some tourist chicks and go on a double date with them. Sean is with Lily. Corin was recruited to talk to Lily’s friend, Erika. The word for the day is “trog”, which is a cross between a frog and a troll I suppose. Erika is no trog, though. She’s hott! Sean decides that she likes Erika more than Lily, so he and Corbin decide to switch dates. Corbin basically comes out and says it would be fun and so they do. Well that works, I guess.

Cheyne and Anna chat it up and flirt. Anna wants Cheyne to be single again, so they can mingle. Cheyne thinks about it some more and decides to do just that. He breaks up with Rachael. Rachael says okay and storms off mad. Cheyne looks to regret his decision right afterwards, though.

That doesn’t last long as Cheyne soon makes out with Anna. Later, he goes to Anna and Chaunte’s house. Rachael shows up outside so that she can talk to Cheyne. Cheyne says that he is not going to marry Rachael. That’s not his thing, so might as well end it. Rachael says she just wants to be with him right now and not the rest of their lives. They fight some more and Cheyne finally gets out of that crazy girl’s car. She is pissed! He then goes back inside and passes out in Anna’s bed. They apparently have sex, while Rachael is left crying in the hallway somewhere. You gotta love the drama?!

THURSDAY

Juvies

We get to meet two more juvenile delinquents in this episode. Sierra is 16. She ran away from home to be with her boyfriend. Actually, she had a fight with her mom and then she says that she went to school. Sierra says that the school called her mom and said she wasn’t at school. So her mom thought she ran away with her boyfriend. She got arrested. He later find out that her boyfriend just got out of jail for possession of drugs.

Rashad is 14. He got into a fight with school. He was charged with battery. The other guy punched him first, but Rashad beat him up more so he got in trouble. Rashad has been to Juvie Hall once before for stealing a bike and running away. His mom has moved to Minnesota and he lives with his dad. His dad says that Rashad thinks everything is a joke. He hopes he doesn’t have to learn his lesson the hard way, but it looks like that will probably happen.

Rashad likes all of the people in juvie. Sierra likes most of the people there as well. But both agree that they don’t like being told what to do. Sierra really worries that she can’t see Shane, her boyfriend, anymore after this. Sierra gets a visit from her mom and stepdad during her stay. They again say they can’t tell her who to date, but losers like Shane don’t like to be around “winners”. Rashad gets a wakeup call during his stay. Another kid goes crazy inside of his cell and tries to break down the cell door. Rashad says he doesn’t want to be here anymore. He worries about his safety. He doesn’t want to hurt himself or his family anymore.

It’s judgement day! Rashad has done nothing but play around while he was here. His dad says he is a good kid at home and only causes problems at school. Rashad swears he won’t do this again and the judge releases him to his father. Sierra is up and her mom wants to take her home. They talk about her boyfriend. She says he is not even cute. He doesn’t do anything but sell drugs. That’s all kinds of odd. Everyone says that she needs to stay away from Shane and the judge finally orders Sierra to stay away from Shane and then she can go back to her mom.

And that ends the 30th volume of the “MTV Mix”! If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or feedback of any kind..send them my way!!

I’ll see you next time when we mix things up a bit!

Sir Linksalot: Reality Television

I'm not embarrassed to say that my favorite television show of all-time is The O.C. I live by the motto "you can't fight fate!" More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
