Jim Mitchell’s character is going to be put on ice for a while. He will be brought back but no longer associated with Abyss. The plan is to get him a new protege to feud with Sting when Mitchell returns.

Ron Killings is undergoing knee surgery this week for a torn patella tendon suffered whilst working an indie show booked through TNA. He was informed that TNA would front him the money for the surgery but that they will restructure his pay over the coming year so he will pay it back.

More viewers watched Impact on 2/8 than any TV show in TNA history. However, fewer people saw the PPV three days later than any show since they switched to the monthly three-hour Sunday format.

TNA lost so much money promoting the PPV in Detroit last year, even with a full house as the gate didn’t cover the production expenses, that they cannot afford to do monthly PPVs outside of Orlando. They are under great pressure to minimise expenses right now, especially after keeping Sting and signing Kurt Angle. Meanwhile, those two have contributed only to two above average PPV events to the point that, financially, the company is worse than it was before they had either one.

The TNA wrestlers have been making a lot of negative comments about all the comedy on the show. The amount of airtime given to Eric Young has been criticised, as they think he is funny but overexposed. They also think the X Division skits do nothing to get anybody over and are just an excuse for the writers to come up with material for Kevin Nash, as they find him hilarious.

Jacqueline Moore had to change her name from Miss Tennessee to Jackie Moore, the Pride of Tennessee, after one of the beauty pageants sent TNA a legal letter saying they owned the rights to the name.

Brother Ray asked Jeff Jarrett if Team 3-D could turn heel but the request was denied. They’ve got them booked against LAX right up to a Cage Match at Lockdown in April.

Raven brought his new wife to the shows last week, which surprised almost everyone as nobody knew he even had a serious girlfriend.

Meanwhile, Jarrett has said that no girlfriends, wives or families are to be allowed back to the wrestlers’ area backstage.

Doug and Danny Basham are going to be brought in to feud with VKM as Christy Hemme’s tag team.

Christian Cage’s stable is now just going to be him, Scott Steiner and Tyson Tomko, not A.J. Styles as well.
