Lita Talks, TNA Releases Tag Team & Tanaka Remembers Awesome

News

Lita talks about leaving WWE and the future with the Baltimore Sun. She has also recently posted an update to her MySpace blog saying that she won’t answer any more questions about her personal life and that she has no plans right now to go back to WWE or join TNA but “never say never.” The Sun story is a good read, and can be found here. She will soon be debuting for UWF wrestling, which has been booking TNA talent in the past, but will be shifting to a more WSX talent-based show down the road.

Two wrestlers who have LEFT TNA are the Diamonds in the Rough: Elix Skipper and David Young. They were both, according to Pro Wrestling Insider, released from their contracts last week, after Young had requested a release. Their manager Simon Diamond is a road agent with the company.

In other news, according to Pro Wrestling Insider, Masato Tanaka commented to ZERO-ONE’s Web site on the death of his long-time rival (and close friend) Mike Awesome. He said that he hoped the news wasn’t true when he first learned of Mike’s death, that the feud with him in ECW was a turning point in his career, and he was one of his best friends despite being an in-ring rival.
