ABC had a BIG week with the Oscars. It fact, it was the only show that could beat American Idol. That and the Super Bowl a few weeks ago. But one regular show almost beat American Idol for 2nd place this week. That being another ABC show called Grey’s Anatomy. The ending of its three-episode story arc featuring the “dead” Meredith Grey was right up there.

Even when you add that all up and throw in a couple of Oscar Specials for ABC, it still wasn’t enough for them to get out of the third/fourth place hole they have been in. This proves once again that their top shows pull in BIG ratings, but other than those 4 or 5 shows ABC quickly bottoms out. CBS was still able to win this week, but FOX was not far behind. That shouldn’t change UNLESS FOX has some MAJOR Specials lined up. They seem to be the only network that could have a chance at beating CBS for #1. It will be interesting to see how this week turns out with “sweeps” pretty much done or at least wrapping. Stay tuned…

Sir Linksalot: Television News

I'm not embarrassed to say that my favorite television show of all-time is The O.C. I live by the motto "you can't fight fate!" More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
