Now Academy Award winning director Martin Scorsese is going to team up again with, script-writer, William Monahan to film rock n roll epic The Long Play. Monahan and Scorsese recently worked together on The Departed which won the Academy Award for “picture of the year.”
Paramount Pictures is setting up the film with Rolling Stone front man Mick Jagger’s Jagged Films partner Victoria Pearman who is set to produce.
The film centers around two friends who are together in the music business for over forty years. It will follow them as they start in the very early days of R&B all the way to today’s contemporary hip-hop.
Monahan is all set to write The Long Play as his next script before possibly teaming with Scorsese yet again on a follow-up to The Departed.
