Breaking Ring of Honor News…New World Tag Team Champions

News, Spoilers

Just reported on the main page of RoHwrestling.com Ring of Honor has crowned New World Tag Team Champions for the second time in as many shows. Naruki Doi and Shingo of Japan’s Dragon Gate promotion upended newly crowned champions the Briscoes for the titles only one week after the Jay and Mark defeated Matt Sydal and “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels in Dayton, OH.

RoH fans will remember Doi from the Blood Generation vs. Do Fixer classic from last year’s Supercard of Honor. Shingo has been a Ring of Honor regular over the past few months. Either way this is a huge shocker, as most fans expected the Briscoes to enjoy a long and fruitful reign atop the Ring of Honor tag team mountain.

Coming out of this match will be the first defense for Shingo and Naruki Doi tomorrow night against the No Remorse Corps of Davey Richards and Roderick Strong. Perhaps the bigger news is that tomorrow night, also in Liverpool, England the fans will see the brother battle as Jay Briscoe faces his brother Mark one on one for the first time since Ring of Honor’s first anniversary show back in 2003.
