In The Huddle – NFL Update

~ The Ravens have acquired Bills’ RB Willis Mcgahee in a trade for Baltimore’s 3rd and 7th round draft picks in this year’s draft and their 3rd round pick in next year’s. This fills the Ravens’ void for a RB after Jamal Lewis signed with the Browns yesterday.

~ The Saints signed Niners TE Eric Johnson to a 1-year deal worth about $2 million. Johnson became expendable to San Francisco last year after the draft of TE phenomenon Vernon Davis.

~ RB Jamal Lewis and the Browns have agreed to a deal, terms were not disclosed.

~ The Broncos continued their free agent onslaught by signing Patriots’ TE Daniel Graham late Tuesday night to a 5-year, $30 million contract with $15 million guaranteed.

The Broncos also have a back-up for QB Jay Cutler now as they have signed former Jets QB Patrick Ramsey to a 2-year contract worth $5 million with about $1.5 million guaranteed.

~ Veteran OL Todd Steussie was re-signed by the Rams.

~ The Falcons made a few big signings on Wednesday by first coming to an agreement with former Saints’ WR Joe Horn. Horn had been in Atlanta since Monday evening and it seems a deal was finally made.

The dirty birds also signed Texans’ CB Lewis Sanders to a 2-year deal with a $700,000 signing bonus.

~ Long-time K John Hall was cut Wednesday by the Redskins.

~ Saints LB Danny Clark has made his way to his fourth career team after being signed by the Texans.
