The 1975 action comedy Dolemite is on its way to being remade by Fallout Entertainment who have acquired the rights to the film.

Dolemite is about a character by the same name who is ex-con seeking to get back control of his nightclub. Seeking out the services of a group of women mastered in martial arts or better known then as kung-fu, he sets out to do what he must to accomplish his mission. They have their sights set and won’t let anyone stand in their way.

Jeff Hause and David Hines (Once Bitten) are set to pen the script for Bill Fishman to direct. Rudy Ray Moore, the comedian who created the Dolemite character, will be executive producer and may even have a role in the film.

Fishman already has plans for Wayne Brady and Charlie Murphy to star. Rapper Snoop Dogg has also had discussions for a role in the film.

The company is looking to begin filming sometime this Fall in Los Angeles with scenes possibly also filming in New Orleans.
