Richly Deserved – The Apprentice:Los Angeles, Episode 6-10

Shows

Previously, Muna and Kristine get on each other’s nerves. Muna would rather be in front of a camera than behind it. But Muna’s beautiful Reality TV Honor Roll-membership-winning accent doesn’t quite work on camera, especially when she’s talking fast. Kinetic loses. Muna prepares for the boardroom reading the Bible. Muna puts Heidi on the spot unnecessarily. Muna is fired.

THE TEAMS:
We’re sending Muna to Hollywood. I can’t think of a better place for her to take acting lessions. The teams are now:
Kinetic: Heidi, Angela, Kristine
Arrow: Tim, Nicole, Frank, James, Stefani

James continues as Arrow’s project manager. Before the task Arrow is asked to send one of their members to Kinetic. They send Nicole. She is upset at leaving Tim and mad at James. But she’s super motivated as a result.

Angela steps up for Kinetic.

THE TASK:
This week the teams are to go head to head on the same turf. They are to sell season passes to Universal Studios Hollywood theme park using Ad Walker, a technology which shows videos and processes credit card orders.

Arrow wants to set up a kiosk and grab customers going to the gate. Kinetic, as suggested by Nicole, want to roam around the park in roller skates, wanting to go up to people.

Arrow sets up early. They laugh at the roller girls and are confident in this task. James gets a hold of the megaphone (James + megaphone, usually not good). But here, they do a good job in first, offering the customers bottled water (Yup, you CAN be bribed by bottled water), and trying to lowball Kinetic.

It got quite ugly with one-on-one battles (such as a good one between Heidi and Frank) for customers.

At one point, Angela whined to Ivanka that Arrow was lowballing them.

THE RESULT
Arrow: $31,366. Kinetic $24,440. Angela again called Arrow out for lying but Trump said sometimes you have to be ruthless.

THE REWARD
The annual helicopter tour of the city. The usual oohs and aahs. Frank liked it, though.

BACK AT CAMP
Before the reward, Tim tried to talk to Nicole through the bushes but Nicole accused him of not sticking up for her.

Angela said she’d have to take Nicole in for coming up with the roller skates concept.

Then, more Tim and Nicole. Nicole said she’s going into the boardroom and can’t talk to him right now. James said he was going to go after the person with the roller skates idea (Nicole). Frank is not happy that Tim is more concerned about someone he met a few weeks ago, than the interview process.

THE BOARDROOM
Angela blamed the loss on the concept. Trump asked Nicole about her and Tim.

I SIGNED UP TO COVER THE APPRENTICE NOT THE BACHELOR. ENOUGH WITH THIS TIM AND NICOLE THING ALREADY, MR. TRUMP.

(Richard feels better now).

Nicole said Angela didn’t lead and in a big shock, neither Heidi nor Kristine could stick up for her either.

Trump gave her every opportunity to save herself. He really is in love with this Olympian thing, isn’t he. She couldn’t. Angela is fired. She leaves her team in tears and leaves them behind in tears as well.

Now, many people thought she’d last a couple of episodes due to her lack of business experience. I said on Preview week that she’d outlast half the candidates because of her work ethic and, dealing in the high-profile world of being on a U.S. national team (in fact, when she did surpass the halfway point, I gave her a Reality TV Honor Roll spot).

She’s not the Apprentice. But I think she’s going to do quite well in her post-playing career.

Nice job, Angela.

Oh, yeah, If you’re in the Winnipeg or Selkirk, Manitoba area the next couple of weeks, the Women’s World Hockey Championships are in your area. Go out and cheer Angela and the girls on (except, when they play Canada).

’til next week.
