Smackdown Spoilers for March 30, 2007

News, Spoilers

Here’s the results from the Smackdown tapings which took place on March 27, 2007:

The night started with Deuce & Domino losing to a couple of guys who I didn’t hear the names of, but assume were from OVW or Deep South. D&D dominated the match, but lost after Deuce was pinned with a roll up.

Smackdown opened with a promo from Edge, hyping up Money in the Bank. Matt Hardy joined him in the ring as they were meant to have a match to open the show, but Edge said he wasn’t wrestling again tonight, and had a replacement, which led to The Great Khali coming out. Khali gave Hardy the tree slam, but then Kane’s ring pyro ignited. Kane appeared on the screen with his giant hook as Khali left the ring.

Finlay beat Mr. Kennedy after interference from Hornswoggle.

MVP then beat some job guy after the Playmaker. He cut a promo afterwards saying he’d beat Chris Benoit on Sunday.

Jeff Hardy beat Randy Orton after Orton was distracted by Edge. The crowd were really into Hardy. Good match.

There was a backstage segment involving Teddy Long and Kristal here. I didn’t catch what was said though.

Ashley Massaro, Mickie James, Torrie, Maria and Candice beat Melina,Victoria, Jillian, Kristal and the returning Michelle McCool. Typical Diva type match. Mickie was worked over for most the match until Ashley got the hot tag and got the win.

CM Punk beat King Booker. Good match. Booker missed an ax kick and Punk rolled him up for the win. The crowd were into both these guys.

The main event segment of the show was to be JBL’s big interview with Batista and The Undertaker. JBL was cut short quickly by Stone Cold Steve Austin, which nobody was expecting. Austin gave JBL a stunner, then drank some beer before giving him another stunner.

The interview with Batista and The Undertaker was then conducted by Teddy Long. Undertaker said nothing as Batista told of how he’d lost respect for him. Crowd were totally against Batista whenever he ran down Undertaker. They got into a brawl with security involved. Batista gave Undertaker a spinebuster. Undertaker sat up and stared at him as the crowd totally went crazy for this. This is where the show will end, and it should make for great TV on Friday night.
