TNA wanted a team from Mexico to come in and work as Christy Hemme’s team at Lockdown. It won’t happen because the show is in St Louis and the Missouri State Athletic Commission requires the wrestlers to be blood-tested in order for the show to get a license. Anybody brought in from AAA wasn’t going to be able to get tested in time for the event. B.G. James has suggested using Serotonin for the spot as they are already with the company.
NJPW wants to send Tiger Mask to work in TNA in May and June but it has not been made official yet.
Christopher Daniels is expected to feud with Sting in a few months time.
Bob Backlund gave Vince Russo a DVD of one of his late ’70s matches at Madison Square Garden as a gift. Nobody knows why.
Rey Mysterio insisted that AAA book Juventud Guerrera for their Reina de Reinas show last week. This wasn’t because he wanted to get Juvi onto the show but because Mysterio was going to be there anyway and wanted to yell at Juvi, who owes him thousands of dollars from his WWE days. All WWE wrestlers need to have mobile phones so the office can reach them at all times. Guerrera didn’t have a credit card and couldn’t get a mobile, so Mysterio let him use his card to buy one. Then, after WWE fired Guerrera, he charged a few thousand dollars worth of calls to Mysterio’s credit card and never paid him back. Mysterio read him the riot act backstage at the AAA show in front of the other wrestlers.
