The Hulk was released in 2003 and starred Eric Bana as Bruce Banner and the Hulk. In it, the big green machine was totally CGI but had the facial features and resembled Bana to make it a smooth transition from Banner to monster. That Hulk was created with effects from a company called Industrial Light + Magic.

Well, be prepared for a new looking Hulk when the second film The Incredible Hulk rolls around in the summer of 2008.

Marvel Studios has named Rhythm & Hues Studios to do the lead visual effects in the film which could, and most likely will, give Hulk a brand new image. Sure the general idea will be the same, but the face will be different as well considering Bana is not returning.

Rhythm & Hues Studios’ credits include Babe, The Chronicles Of Narnia, and the upcoming Alvin And The Chipmunks live-action film.
