With the death of the Playboy playmate only a few months old, everyone should have figured that a film about Anna Nicole Smith’s controversial life would have been made. But I don’t think anyone thought it would happen this fast.
Jack and Joseph Nasser will produce the film while Keoni Waxman will direct. All three have worked together on numerous TV series and films. Singer/dancer Willa Ford will take over the lead role of Anna Nicole herself.
The film is going to tell Smith’s story from the age of 17 to her death at 39. It will cover her success in Playboy, as a GUESS model, her marriage to oil millionaire J. Howard Marshall II, her acting career, the death of her son Daniel, and her tragic death only five months after the birth of her daughter Dannielynn. This past Thursday, the courts in Bahamas finally solved the case as to who was the young girl’s father by saying the paternity tests proved Smith’s former boyfriend Larry Birkhead was the father and not a host of others.
Filming for Anna Nicole is to begin next week.
