As a follow up to yesterday’s report that Bobby Lashley is injured, Pro Wrestling Insider is now saying that the former champ WILL take part in today’s ECW tapings in Birmingham, Alabama. According to PWInsider, Lashley visited with Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham yesterday to check on nagging injuries, not anything new that happened during Backlash. WWE.com says he has a “damaged rotator cuff.”
In other injury news, The Undertaker is said to have a torn biceps tendon and will also be meeting with doctors (probably Andrews) today. According to PWInsider, “one person who has seen the injury [said] that you can easily see where the torn muscle in his bicep has rolled up his arm towards his shoulder.” Taker’s been battling other legitimate injuries for a while now, so it should be interesting seeing what happens if he has to take time off.
Should Undertaker have to drop his title, my guess is that Vince McMahon will go on to be unite all three belts by Summerslam. Okay, I’m kidding. But still…
