Konnan, AAA, Hogan Latest

News

The Cena/Michaels epic from the 23rd April Raw did badly in the ratings. It lost 134,000 viewers and was down to a 3.8 rating for the finish – the lowest Raw overrun for over a year.

Dave Meltzer is reporting that Konnan is in talks with Jimmy Hart about booking Hulk Hogan and/or Paul Wight for AAA’s TripleMania. ‘Long-shot’ is understating it

Meanwhile, in light of WWE’s recent plans for a Latin-American brand being revealed, AAA sent some people to a WWE house show to check out the potential competition. According the 5th May Wrestling Observer, their reaction was altogether negative. They felt the wrestling was bad, with the wrestlers using too many moves like long chinlocks and spending a long time working on a body part. They feel that their fans, over the long-term, would not accept WWE’s product.
