After edging out Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest for biggest opening day in history, the web-slinger demolished all opening records for the rest of the weekend.

Early estimates have Spider-Man 3 taking in $148 million domestically beating Dead Man’s Chest old record of $135.6 million set just last year.

So far combined with global box office intakes, Spider-Man 3 has made an estimated $375 million.

Will the film finally dethrone Titantic for the top spot on the all-time list of most money made at the box office worldwide? It would have to bring in over $1.8 billion, but it seems to be off to a pretty good start.
