It is now being said that horror master Clive Barker is in the works to bring one of the biggest horror franchises back to life. Seems Barker is in full swing with the project of creating a remake to his 1987 original Hellraiser which brought the icon of Pinhead into existence.
Sources have said that Barker turned in a 40 page hand-written script that was later put into type form to present to executives. Back in October, the idea was first presented for a remake and Barker said he wanted it done right. The filmmaker said he would write the script and produce so it didn’t end up the way some other remakes have.
The orignal film told the story of a couple who move into a home and end up discovering a weird creature in the bedroom upstairs. The creature happens to be the man’s half-brother and also the woman’s old lover, but he isn’t as he used to be. He has found a portal to another dimension that has changed his appearance and his mind. Now back from the verg of death, he orders the woman to bring him his human sacrifices so that he can seek revenge upon those who changed him.
