According to WrestlingObserver.com, here’s what happened before RAW went live tonight:
– Chuck Palumbo defeated Viscera in a dark match.
– Eugene & Hacksaw Jim Duggan defeated Xavier & Scotty Charisma.
– Val Venis pinned Shawn Reynolds, then limped to the back with a possible knee injury.
– Cryme Tyme defeated Johnny Nitro & Kenny Dykstra.
– After RAW, John Cena defeated Edge in a dark match to keep the WWE Championship.
With Edge winning the Money in the Bank shot from the (injured) Ken Kennedy at RAW, and Undertaker set to have surgery that will have him out of action for 6+ months after tomorrow’s Smackdown cage match with Batista, it seems pretty safe to say that either Batista or Edge will leave Pittsburgh tomorrow night as the new World Heavyweight Champion. Unless, as Dave Meltzer has been saying, Taker convinces WWE to let him perform with a severe injury for a bit longer.
