Michael Biehn who has been in some of the best films of the past couple decades such as The Abyss, The Terminator, and Tombstone had sort of disappeared until recently. Biehn was beginning to be known as an eighties icon until he showed up in the recently released Grindhouse.
And now he’s showing up in another film and has a partner who is also from the eighties. Tom Berenger thrilled us in Platoon and cracked us up in Major League, but he also had become somewhat non-existent in recent years.
The two are teaming up for a film entitled Stiletto which is to be directed by Nick Vallelonga. It also stars Stana Katec (Heroes, 24) as an assassin who kills her victims very randomly. The randomness of her murders puzzles everyone that knows her including her lover, her clients, and the detective trying to solve the case of everyone she kills. Berenger plays Katec’s boyfriend in the film and is a rising player in the crime world but it is all offset by the love of his woman and his mafia associate played by Biehn.
Tom Sizemore, William Forsythe, Kelly Hu, Diane Venora, and many more are already slated to star in the film along with those already mentioned. Principal photography recently began on Stiletto which looks aimed for a release sometime next year.
