Pro Wrestling Insider has reported that Edge is the new World Heavyweight Champion.
According to the wrestling Web site, at the recently-concluded Smackdown tapings in Pittsburgh, PA, The Undertaker fought Batista to a draw in the main event World Heavyweight Championship steel cage match, with both men escaping the cage, their feet hitting the ground simultaneously. As is the case after a draw, the champion — Undertaker — retained his title.
After the match was ruled a draw, reports PWInsider, Mark Henry returned from his long injury layoff to attack The Undertaker (WrestlingObserver.com reports that this happened after Batista had gone to the back). RAW Superstar Edge then came out from the back and cashed in the Money in the Bank World Title contract that he won last night from Ken Kennedy. After several near-falls, Edge finally beat Undertaker via pinfall after spearing the Dead Man who had just sat up. The title change reportedly got a huge pop, but the crowd dished out the heat to Edge once the new Champion laid Undertaker out with the Money in the Bank briefcase after the match had ended. WrestlingObserver.com has reported that druids then came out and carried The Undertaker away.
