Kennedy’s Prognosis Improves, ECW Rating & More

News

As it turns out, WWE.com is now reporting that Ken Kennedy will only be out 6-8 weeks rather than 5-7 months, as the triceps did NOT separately completely from the bone as originally expected and he won’t need surgery.

In other news, WrestlingObserver.com reports that, according to Nielsen, ECW got a 1.5 cable rating last night.

Finally, Jim Ross has a new blog entry up, where he talks about the recent injuries among other topics. Here’s a quote:

There is lots of discussion about the number of injuries currently plaguing the WWE. Simply put, my philosophy on that matter is this, there is never a good time for any one to get injured but injuries create opportunities for healthy bodies. That may sound morbid but it is true. Any time a top star gets put on the shelf it creates a window of opportunity for someone who is “waiting for their break”. I could easily see new and deserving individuals get their number called and then it will be up to them to make a difference when they “get in the game”. The old song and dance about wrestlers being “held back” is usually a crock especially in today’s marketplace. If a talent is truly special from bell to bell, there is no holding nothing back. One can only pull a Tony Soprano and “poor me” so often.

JR also discusses Bobby Jaggers, William Regal, hectic travel, Mick Foley’s latest book compared with his earlier ones, Oklahoma’s state vegetable, the spinner belt, when HBK will retire, who Flair’s final opponent should be and more.
