According to the official NWA website, the NWA has ended their five-year relationship with TNA. They have officially stripped Christian Cage and Team 3D of the NWA World Heavyweight and NWA Tag Team titles. They go on to announce that they have severed all ties with TNA and wish them well.
The NWA also announces that a tournament will take place to crown a new NWA World Heavyweight champion. This has been expected as the NWA website has been running promos of various wrestlers including Bryan Danielson, Psicosis, Adam Pearce, and Chance Prophet who are shown demanding a shot at the title.
In a fun twist, Pro Wrestling Insider’s Mike Johnson has reported that “I have heard that Rico Mann, who works with championship belt designer Reggie Parks was in attendance at tonight’s PPV to take possession of the NWA championship belts.” Keep checking back to Inside Pulse for more on this story.
